Lake Cavanaugh ~ Weekend Getaways

My husband`s hobby of fishing takes us to the most beautiful and pristine lakes of Washington. Last weekend was a trip to Lake Cavanaugh. Insulated from the outside world, yet convenient to Seattle lies this waterfront home nestled in the Cascade Mountain foothills on the shores of Lake Cavanaugh. This gated home has mountain and lake views that rival Washington’s finest resorts.
We were a group of nine people with one of our friend’s parents visiting them. We checked in on Friday evening and my husband was already fishing by the time we could get our things from the car. Fishing early with morning mist was a great relaxation for him and he managed to catch about ten fishes.
Saturday was a really wonderful day of food and fun. Kichidi for breakfast, Aunty M-friends mom made Chicken biryani, eggplant masala and Raitha. BBQ chicken and Fish fry for dinner.

Linda the owner of the property was very kind and accommodating, she let us stay well beyond the checkout time for us to enjoy the wonderful setting of the place.Overall we all had a relaxed weekend and returned Sunday evening after celebrating our friends parents Wedding Anniversary.
