My family likes traveling and exploring new places. Seattle and the state of Washington is a very beautiful place. I consider myself fortunate to live in such a wonderful place. We have been living in Seattle for almost ten years and have been traveling often to several places all these years. We believe there are many more places to explore.
My husband’s hobby of fishing takes us to some of the pristine lakes and resorts of Washington.
On one such search for river fishing, we stumbled upon Ovenell's Heritage Inn - Set on an historic working cattle ranch bordering the beautiful Skagit River. The Ranch is twenty minutes from the Mt. Baker area, spectacular for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

We loved the beautiful setting of the cabin we stayed in; we enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the sunrise and sunset.

I must say we didn't expect much from this small town nestled in the mountains however The Heritage Inn was a delightful surprise. Located on a large ranch property, the log cabins are immaculately clean and well stocked. There is a kitchenette with everything
you would need and a local grocery store nearby.
We stayed in Bear hollow Guesthouse for two nights when we went in September of 2007 and in the Eagle cabin last weekend.
